Cervical Fusion

Cervical Fusion Surgery

Cervical fusion is a surgery performed to treat one of a number of back injuries. It can fix misaligned vertebrae, prevent a bone fracture from damaging the spinal cord, or help with herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or other similar injuries.

This surgery involves joining spinal bones together. Doctors can add a bone graft from elsewhere, use metal implants or plates, or remove either a spinal disk or an entire vertebra and fuse the adjoining bones.
